The food concession business is a rapidly growing business in the food service industry. There are many concerns that are at the forefront of the mind when someone is looking to get into this type of business. One of the most important decisions that must be made is to choose the type of equipment you are going to purchase in order to go forward with this business idea. First you need to decide on the location and food, what price you are willing to spend, then whether you are going to purchase new or used equipment.
The first things you need to decide when starting a concession business are location and type of food. For location, you must consider the laws in your area, the amount of customer traffic and what you will have to pay to be located there. You also need to decide whether or not you wish to be at a location on a permanent basis or just temporarily. This means do you want to set up on the side of the road with the owners permission for good or do you want to move with fairs, carnivals, or other events.
